Software DVB-S demodulator

@Markro: decoding of >75% of all streams works good, only on a few signals i can't get a lock. When i encounter the next time such a "strange" signal i try to increase the loop gain.

Another (stupid) question: how can i detect if it is a DVB-S1 or a DVB-S2 signal?

Till now i only found DVB-S2 sigs.

Hi, I am trying to RX the beacon here, I see the IQ Plot constellation flashes sometimes but it does not appear steady not sure if I am setting everything correctly? May be the signal getting here too weak?

Thank you, I have changed the settings as you indicated but still no luck, I believe the signals on the WB transponder are too weak for this part of the world, DATV will be very difficult to rx/tx from here, although the signals on the NB are very strong.

This is very strange. Have you tryed to experiment the change of polarization ? Are you sure about the power supply to yours LNB at 18 V to reach the horizontal polarization ?

Yes 18V, polarization is OK, later on I will try to replace the RTL-SDR dongle by the SDRPlay RSP-2 to test, not sure if the software will recognize RSP-2 but will try.

Hi,

The SDRPlay RSP-2 works well with the software. You have to use the antenna input A. The selection of input B is currently not possible.

Hi here is what happens on my constellation are small inpulssi but no coding is very strange

hello to the group finally after two months I managed to see DATV here we go OM (G0AZQ Tony) good signale down 73 IK1HGI Tony

I was able to see good DATV Beacon QO100 I'm happy after so long signal down 73 IK1HGI Tony
