What is the excact lower CW beacon frequency on the NB transponder?

  • What is the excact lower CW beacon frequency on the NB transponder?

I am calibrating the offset for my SDR so I need to know exactly what frequency the lower beacon is on.

I am looking for the zero beat cw frequency (that means the exact center of the carrier).

  • Yes, but we need to know what the TX frequency is from the gnd station so we can calibrate using the beacon. In the bandplan it is not clear what the exact transmit frequency is. They have a span and have not given the excact beacon frequency (at least I didnt find it).

  • I calibrate my RX system to CW beacon 10.489.550.000 Hz (zero beat). For me it doesn't really matter if this is the perfect and "true" frequency or not. After that I calibrate my TX offset. Then I am ready to have fun ;)

But I have noticed that the engineering beacons of the different satellites are not always perfectly on the specified frequency. They vary in all directions. Who is right?

After I have calibrate CW beacon to 10.489.550.000 Hz the PSK beacon is exactly on 10.489.800.000 Hz. Thats all I need.
