Hello OMs,
has someone already tried a LNB mod with a MCXO like this one?

Looks interesting, stable like a OCXO but current consumption likeTCXO.

Hi Dave,
what is your impression with this MCXO stabilisation?
Does it work so good like it sounds according to the datasheets?
I can't find any posts from you about that here in this forum.

Dave could it be that the "Si Time 0.1ppm" are normal TCXOs?
https://www.mouser.de/datashee…7-datasheet_1-1371858.pdf
I see 0,1 / 0,25ppm on their datasheets.
The MCXOs are described with 0,02 / 0,03ppm stability.

OK Dave,
but those SiTime MEMS TCXOs are not the same as the MCXOs i mean
even if the name M-CXO could be understood as MEMS TCXO.
You can see on the datasheet that the stability is much better.
So i guess till now nobody has tried a mod with a "real" MCXO.

I think this is a syntax issue ?
BTW how much are they ?
73's Dave
see here: https://de.farnell.com/search?st=MCXO
About 50€ but unfortunately a suitable frequency (25/27) MHz is not in the list.
But the technical data looks very impressive.

Those are less accurate than the one I proposed ?
Dave
Look at the first datasheet i posted.
±30ppB

I was looking at above as requested. I'll leave this thread as it's going nowhere.
So nobody has used a MCXO till now..
I haven't . . .
maybe because the price difference to a cheap GPSDO is not very big....

Or maybe no one knows how much it is anyway, let alone how to buy one ?
