  • Excellent, great equipments and results

I see all your tests of the last days

To reach this speeds do you have an high SNR, and this because your transceiver have an excellent modulator.

Not everyone can reach this speeds.

    Compliments

  • Bernd and Robert:
I think people could benefit from a description of your hardware setup, power, dish, LO type, etc. used to reach this high speeds.

And if you followed some procedure for setting the right audio levels and ensure clean signals.

    HW?

  • not being on the slow side either, here's my setup:

direct digital audio from vara modem into icom ic-9700

gps-locked homebrew upconverter with commercial class A PA

about 10 watts into 120cm with poty, but not 100% clear view to satellite, partially blocked by a wall and a balcony table

  • Hello,

a bit late , but here my setup:

    Uplink:
    FT-857 (TCXO) - ALC max. 50% / Sound-IF Yaesu SCU-17 / TRVTR SG-Lab / GPSDO (Leo Bodnar) / PA SG-Lab (~8W for VARA) / 2.5m Airborne 10 / WIFI Grid Dish H-pol. ("barbeque antenna"...hi)

    Downlink:

85cm offset dish (my ASTRA-TV-dish expanded with second LNB for QO-100) / LNB from remoteqth.com :thumbup:with TXCO (25.78718 mc) and really ultra low jitter (!) (LO 10.057 GHz / output 432 mc) / FT-736R

And of course: VARA SAT high speed licence. ;)

So, as you can see, nothing special.

  • Hi all,

here is a description of my setup:

+ SSB transceiver with TCXO 0,5 ppm with internal sound card or signalink sound card

+ full licence VARA SAT v3.1.2, Winlink Express 1.5.25.0

+ PC: Hardware: coffee lake, OS: Windows 7

    + DL2BZ Es'Hail2 transverter with power amp +40 dBm

+ 1m dish with winkler helix antenna for TX

+ 80cm dish with Octagon Twin PLL LNB for RX

+ cheap 75 Ohm cables widely used
