Nice tip. I use a medium ziplock freezer bag, not UV safe in the long term, but cheap.
This is my version (shown before in other subject). This PP cover will last for some time and also has a good drain...
The same solution working great as well with a dual-band feed helix-LNB.

That looks much neater indeed. Of what parts does it consist and how did you seal the dielectric lens cover and the backside?

DF6LO This is an endcap for a 11cm plumb pipe.. You must drill a 22mm hole in the middle to let the 10 GHz through. then shorten the endcap to 1,5cm so that it fits best into your dish. the lens is sealed by superglue and silicone. That you could also do on the backside.. but when you running an offset dish.. that is no issue.. because the rain will never reach that.
