close encounter between QO-100 and the Moon
you use this link to calculate ?
No, I didn't know about this interesting project yet.
Thanks for the information.
I used Orbitron 3.71 as you can see on the screenshot.
Its a pitty the lunar beacon was switched Off .
Never Heard IT. And the data on the Webpage Shows beacon Off..
Maybe next time..
Got me thinking about the LIFE after oa100..
Meanwhile I almost believe that it won't work at all.
On the beacon status website
is written at the end of the page:
"QRV: always when moon is visible with more than 10 degrees elevation at DL0SHF but only when moon declination is above 20 degrees North"
However, Daniel, EA4GPZ, has reported that he received the beacon on May 16, 2019.
"QRV: always when moon is visible with more than 10 degr
All right, but currently the beacon is not working 100%
A bit off topic but can anyone confirm which modulation scheme DL0SHF is currently using? I thought it had changed from QRA64 to Q65-60D but I can't decode either with WSJT-X despite having decent signal levels. I was decoding the QRA64 fine when I tried last year.

same problem here, despite a strong signal, aboute 13 dB over the noise, I was unable to decode it in Q65-D mode.

Thanks for the report. I was assuming that it was operator error at my end but perhaps not if you're having no success either. I'm using WSJT-X v 2.4.0.rc4 and SDRConsole 3.26 with Doppler tracking enabled. The FunCube dongle isn't GPS locked but it received the QRA64 alright last year.
What size antenna are you using?

Well, there were reports here in the forum, DL0SHF is not operational due to a broken gearbox or motor. Did they fix it?
I think so, it was active during the last EME contest, last WE
Interesting setup you have there there Rocco and a good signal in the recording. I need to do some more checks on my 1.5m dish because the received signal really isn't as good as it should be but it should certainly be good enough to decode QRA64 or Q65.
Nice to see your words about Dom I8CVS on your website. Looking back through my log book he was my third contact on AO40 nearly 20 years ago. The antenna I was using then was the same one I'm using for 10GHz EME now!

I have an excellent pass at Fri 7/5 @ 7:13 UTC (10:13 Local).
I will try to receive it using a 90 cm dish, a Octagon twin LNB with GPSDO to a Pluto with GPSDO. A GNURadio flowchart will be used to capture also IQ data for future decode of the signal. Now I try to write a Python script to calculate Doppler.
Two screenshots from receiving DL0SHF.
Finally decoded the signal !!!
Update: the best reception decoded is -11 !!!

I will try using homebrew 10 GHz transverter in Rx only.
A RTL stick will be used for Rx DL0SHF.
