Is it possible to use SATSAGEN via ETHERNET?
If not that would be a nice feature in future...

Hello Mike,
if you refer to the connection to the device via IP, you can specify a uri in Settings-> Devices, e.g. IP: 192.168.2.1, as an alternative to choosing a local device.

Ping works. Satsagen => firewall enabled. Should be OK.
SDR-Console works as well.
Or may be WLAN a problem?

'ip' must be entered as lowercase letters, the string is not accepted when you enter uppercase letters.

the hardcopy shows the input signals of my pluto (range: 739-750 MHz)
The DATV signals are much stronger than some SSB signals.
Now a new hardcopy with TSA calibrated (range: 739-750 MHz) . -

Aren't WB and NB transponders transmitting in different polarizations? So with one receiving chain switched to WB polarization, I'd expect a decreased NB signal by several dB.
And yes, SATSAGEN is a great tool, saying it already as a beginner in its usage. Thank you. 73 -
Hi Frank, of course you are right. That also occurred to me later. I took the measurements in the DATV reception position. The signals from the NB are therefore several dB weaker.

This hardcopy was created with SA and Generator on and without any connection between the Rx and Tx sockets.
How can that be?
Is it possible to connect the two connections internally via software?
I've tested this on various frequencies from 400MHz to 2400MHz.
TX Pwr has no influence on the signal level.

Hi,
You can test the same frequency range as an analyzer. If you observe the same pattern you receive external or internal signals. If you receive less or nothing is leakage from Tx. The Pluto is not shielded.

Hi George,
that's exactly what I did. I wanted to use the analyzer to examine Pluto's output signal. Apparently the internal crosstalk is so high that even without an external bridge the Tx signal can be seen along with plenty of spurious waves. My Pluto is housed in an aluminum box. The crosstalk seems to be already happening on the Pluto board, which does not speak for good RF quality.

DJ7TH Hi Rolf,
you're right, I can confirm the strange behaviour of the Spectrum Analyzer in combination with the Generator. I hadn't noticed this before, because I usually use the Spectrum Analyzer w/Tracking. The reason seems to be the automatic Rx gain control. If you set the Rx Gain mode to manual, you get rather comprehensible results.
For the first screenshots Tx and Rx were connected, for the second, the cable was removed.

thanks for the hint. What I am missing is a manual for the software with an explanation of the individual operating functions or a help function. Otherwise the software is an excellent addition to the other pluto programs.
What irritated me: as soon as you set the Span to 61MHz, you can see another signal at 2407.8 MHz only about 10dB weaker than the one at 2400MHz. With a Span of 60MHz this signal is not activ. Depending on the span and generator frequency, signals appear below or above the generator frequency with different levels. If pluto generat this continuously, it would be fatal, as this signals could appear in the DATV band.
