Hi all, can someone please explain why people sync the TX frequency with an offset to read the same as the RX frequency in SDR console v3? Why not just leave the TX frequency in the 2.4 GHz band? Thanks in advance.

Hi Phil
Its easier. If you leave the TX frequency on 2.4 GHz then you have to have the transponder offset in your mind or elsewhere.
OK Thomas, thanks for that.
In my case up and down converter are GPS disciplined, the only thing that remains is a monitoring SDR pluto with an offset, and a icom 705 that has a 70 Hz like offset. You can use the websdr to discover you TX offset, modulate a 1000 Hz tone and see where it ends up.
