I confirm testing on WB Transponder. Test 15 sec with 100 kHz step by step
-
It is so strong that I can even detect it on Vertical polarization (about 6dB S/N)...
H/V switching was not planned into my NB setup. But a step-up DC-DC converter is in the mail from China so I can do tests. (I have enough of the step-down models in stock)
-
Right now center band, 10495, under test with different power/signal. From the minimum signal to the maximum.
-
Arrived home just in time to record the WB transponder tests.
dg0opk : I congratulated Daniel with his beautiful captures : -)
However, I've a question (and please let the answer not be 'NDA' ...) :
Are these tests performed with an 2.4 GHz uplink (... from Doha) ?
(from what I understood there are no 'in situ' signal generators inside the NB and WB transponder allocation . . (?) -
I8LYL former I0LYL : I confirm, the signal is much stronger here now than my previous RX.
-
WB transponder OFF now
P.S.
after 40 min. on again
-
Charlie Fox Mike here ; -)

There are no on-board beacon generators on the WB and NB.
The beacons and LEILA will be ground based and up-linked from the Es'hailSat SCC in Qatar. Our groundstation equipment will be installed and activated after the IOT phase is finished.
At the moment all transponder settings (including gain, AGC, ALC, decay and attack, etc.) will be exercised..
That's why we kindly ask not to even think about transmitting on S-band Uplink
-
the most recent keps confirm that the satellite is still at 24°E
If these are the signals with the dish at 26°E what signals should we expect?

The process seems still in IOT-mode so . . .with which equipment / how are these (uplink) signals generated ?

Carrier on frequency 10495

WB Transponder back on with 20 dB lower signals rising
P.S.
after a few minutes again off.
-
Good to see the updates, I live in a apartment and want to use a sat signal finder to point the dish, does anyone know the Symbol rate as this is required to be entered in the sat finder.

I updated the keps but Orbitron shows the satellite at 26.5E, is this correct or the satellite is still at 24
