Es'hail-2 beacon frequency (non-amateur)

Es'hail-2 IOT TV/Transponder active blind scan 11270 H 27500.

I can recieve the beacon on 10,706 Ghz with a S/N close to 20 dB (10 KHz Bandwidth).

The dish is a 1,60 m prime focus. LNB is Kuhne.

Does anybody has simular results in the S/N value.

Hi Jochen,

is your antenna pointing at 26°E or to the temporary position at 24.2°E ?

My system is not really calibrated, I use unmodified Octagon OSLO, 85cm dish and Airspy. But I would suspect you should have a much stronger signal with 1,6m dish..

Thanks for your support. I am pretty shure that the dish is on 24..25°E.

But I will check it once more. With 2,5 KHz bandwidth there are 25 db S/N (still to low).

The beacon is on my rig vertical as well horizontal on the same S/N.

I hope this 10,706 Ghz engineering beacon is singly related to the Es'hail2

Good evening everyone, this is what I received a few minutes ago at 24 °. On 10706 MHz 35 dB S / N and on 11205 MHz 37 dB S / N.

I just watched again. This weird signal is always present. I do not know his origin ...

I think this is a sidelobe from Arabsat 5A, 30,5° East. If I turn my dish to east, the signal growing up to 37dB ....

It is the beacon from another satellite, Arabsat 5A at 30.5e.

This also confuses people when they have their antenna pointed wrongly.

There are two sidelobes from 30,5° East. One vertikal, the other horizontal.

Hello,
Just got LNB installed and antenna pointing to Es'hail-2 direction. Both engineering beacons are quite strong here in Estonia (KO38hj). Using NJR2637E Ku-band LNB with external 10 MHz reference from rubidium clock. Antenna is a 2.6 m solid dish. Receiving with USRP N210 + sbx frontend.

Very slow my first reception of EShailsat-2 (Oscar-G1) . I need some adjustment of pointing. (Dish 100 cm, Octagon Otlso dual feed modified oe7dbh, port 2, vertical polarization (+13,8 V))

Welll... 2.6M dish... Estonians like it big

It reminds me of some Youtube videos of the 15m antenna at ES5TV

With your station you can likely compare with the professionals...

Good morning all in south Sardinia (Cagliari), Es'Hail2 is very strong.
In monitor 11270H but at the moment seems to be off

Today 17kHz of telemetry subcarrier is moved from 10706 to 11205; this happen in various moments of the day..Are working..

I'm using 100cm parabolic, PLL LNB (55dB gain), 20m sat cable and R820T2

Yes I think so. With that dish you should be able to get it much stronger.

However, pointing is now a bit of a waste of time as it is slowly drifting east.

Yes Rob you are right. But I taken the common fever to do some tests and checks...

But the challenge will be to transmit over the bird,

Yes Roberto I confirm your observation, the same for me, but signal in my case is lower due to lack of pointing :
