I would say the mesh size is just at the edge of what is recommended for 10 GHz. One would assume 10% of the wavelength (2.8mm for 10.5 GHz) and you have closer to 4mm if I am not mistaken. It will somehow work but with decreased G/T (leakage from behind). That does not say anything about the parabolic shape or its deviation from the ideal shape. But give it a try

Incredible, you still have lemon on the tree, with me 1m snow and temperature -15 ° C at 07:00 clock.
Yes.. Lemon are all around the year. It´s a "4 seasons" variety..and even in winter (usually always over 0 degrees minimum daily temperature here)...it gives me lemons for winter colds .

HS2JFW: Like DH2VA said, around 1/10 of the wavelength is sufficient. I measured the size of the mesh in Gimp and it turned out that the first cm on the ruler is ~101 px and the hole just above the first 5mm of the ruler measures ~31 px wide and ~20 px high, so it's more close to 3mm. That means you may certainly give it a try!

Can a mesh dish be covered with an aluminium foil ? Would this be a good or bad idea ?
-
I think I have seen aluminum foil covered mesh already. Electrically, this is fine, as long as you keep close to the desired shape. It might be more of a mechanical problem though, especially when wind comes into play (prevent it from tearing apart).
