Tried anybody the ADALM-PLUTO DATV with bitrates lower than 1000 kbps ?
Tests show that the output power drops dramatically at a reduced bit rate.
At 125 kbps, it does not send at all ...
Any Idea?

If true it's a drama...
ik4idy Alessio it is only a challange never a drama..
I want do a test....
Okay, I'm able to tx at 333 K/s, tested 125 K/s DATV-Express with Adalm doesn't trasnmit. But I've the suspect about parameters are nor proprely settled....
Searched on the web cannot find information about parameters...
Tx at 2400.Mhz
My results:
DVB-S2
Output power: 2400 MHz:
2000 k/s -7 dBm signal i.O
1000 k/s -7 dBm signal i.O
333 k/s -11 dBm signal i.O
125 k/s - 60 dBm no usable signal
Output power: 1280 MHz:
2000 k/s -4 dBm signal i.O
1000 k/s -4 dBm signal i.O
333 k/s -10 dBm signal i.O
125 k/s - 60 dBm no usable signal

I haven't a instrument to measure, but the result confirm my observation. Who has ADALM cannot transmit at very lower rates...

Alessio, tnx for report.
I think and hope its a sofware error on pc site.
I´m sure thats a software bug.
If I try FEC 5/6 or higher then results a correct signal, but only for a few seconds, then software crashes.
This early Version
https://www.datv-express.com/u…ess_transmitter1.25p4.zip
works with FEC 2/3 and higher, but also crashes after seconds

TX problem with 125 kb/s solved !
We have to use lower video capture resolution .... then it works .....
Output pwr: -10 dBm

Thank you for the suggestion Robert.

Yesterday there was a qso on the nb transponder from IW1EPY using Adalm pluto for SSB. The sound was very clear. This I will try as well in the next few days just to have this experience.
then I will post my results here..
Hello Heiner,
nice to hear that you will test the Pluto.
My overal impression is that many OMs using a SDR (Lime, HACK RF, Pluto...) for TX had a "limited" modulation. (e.g. "drop outs" - even if they are only a few ms but audible; limited dynamic range and limited bandwidth).
I am very curious about your experiences.

Hello,
does anyone have a concept to get the -10dBm DATV signal from the ADALM PLUTO "from the basement" to be able to control a usual power amplifier with about 1 -2 watt?
Which way seems more interesting? 70cm> 13cm transverter or directly to amplify the 13cm signal from ADALM ?

some of those for for cable compensation (keep output below 10mW for keeping linearity):
5MHz~6GHz RF Broadband Signal Amplifier Power Amplifier Gain 20dB
As final stage the 20W WiFi Booster I described elsewhere in the forum. And in the AMSAT-DL Journal 1mW In, 1-2W Out.
additional mixing only increases complexity and these gain blocks are just too cheap and good.
Achim, thank you for the suggestion. I will take a look at the article in the AMSAT journal ...

Hi all, I went from page 1 through 4 available for this topic, apologies if I missed but could not find and/or understand if Pluto will be usable to RECEIVE DVB-S2 from the WB TP? If yes, what would be the software that could be used preferably on Windows?
