one question. I need to connect my pluto via USB to the ryde.

If so, i cannot use the pluto for TX any more..

Why not use the pluto via network..

I succesfully used 1 pluto for DATV-TX and sdrconsole for RX via the network...

So if the WB would use the pluto via network i may be able to use the TX. but we probably would get problems with 8 Mhz wide view..

It seems i need a wget to get its out of the github into my running ryde..

But there is the lacking knolledge..

Have ryde over one year and found this addition..

I know my ways to my raspb... but have no qlue how i should install this..

I have entered the command lines in the mentions file into my putty and although its doing a lot there is no webserver yet..

I copied the github data into my rasp. but cannot start the scripts there...

So little help for the starters would be appriciated..

Lnb with 25 MHz dds Input goes bad.

hi, i have an unclear problem to me. I have sdr console running with RTL stick and receive eshail great. But to stabilize the lnb i made 25 MHz input. IT works fine with gpsdo from a local ham.
But when connecting dds or si5351 running 25mhz i get sideband spikes every 800hz. Check pict.. https://photos.app.goo.gl/84bAhVNahP8uwSdc7

Note the left waterfall is the NB cw beacon .

With xtal driven lnb its normal 1 spike and with dds or si5351 8 Spikes..
I tried raising and lowering 25mhz Signal…

I never solved this problem.

If you manage a receiption of the beacon with the si5351 as a LO. please inform me...

I still have the complete GPSDO with the si chip on shelf, waiting for a better time..

yes Uli, if you want to use the f5uii ptt option you, ll need the f5oeo firmware.

And yes you, ll still be able to use the nb with sdr console.

Yes f5oeo uses 2 gpio ports to controll ptt relay. Both gpio need to be different active to make the ptt true…

F5uii made a great pcb but you can easy put it on a small testboard.

hi robert, the riddles are not so difficult apparently.. And yes the f5uii board follows the f5oeo firmware to prevent unwanted ptt..

But this should be common knolledge by now..

The latest S version witch should be available in sept 2020 is now already out of stock.

An other issue is the need to relocate to france to be able to order one..

For the v2 version one needs to be a member of the batc witch is still a bit strange if you just want to get some hardware.

Its time china gets involved as we like just some hardware...

An other point of view is the free software witch needs to get supported...

I just hope some percentage is going to the developers..

I'll keep monitoring...

I use the pluto not via lan adapter but via USB..

I've 2 pluto's boxxed in together with USB splitter and sufficient power.

So i really do not want to go to Lan option as of now.

As many other use USB connected pluto's i'd really like to find the solution of getting it working via the PC router option..

Like to have more pointers if you have any.

if you, like me, connected the pluto to USB port the pluto works in different network e.g. 192.168.2.x.

I have not find the workaround...

check so far the netmask in the pluto and corrected to 255.255.0.0

but its not in the pocket yet..

Need to be smarter...

Finally today installed the new 21-10 version..

found your great and long awaited improvements but its not working..

I have minitiouner express running on same windows 10 PC.

QO-100 WB live tune works fine..

have the port en 232.0.0.11 default working..

Did setup the 2110 witch is straight forward..

see the message "receive channel change request completed"..

But nothing happens in minitioune V0.0_9.1h

what am i doing wrong?

Datv Signal Processing creates a delay Up to 15 Seconds. If you add delay for handover normal qso gets difficult and inpracical. Using 2nd datv audio channel Will add extra delay for Signal Processing..

This was the basic question. All Others solutions are Working, has been used OR Not the andere..

I am able to send 2 seperat Signals an able to receive 2 seperat Signals..

NB USB is currently the only Working solution and the rest is not practical...

Did some testing on both ideas...

Recently i am able to be QRV on NB and WB in same disc and amplifier..

Doing NB USB is a good option but indeed far from perfect. zerobeat signals and squelch problems makes it less preferable for the DATV station.

NFM or even WFM will fit easy between WB channels and is better in respect of quality and easy to use.. You can better work with squelch options and even CTCSS.. Downside, youll need over 10Watt FM to get a desent S9 R5 signal...

In stead of the 4 watt needed for a similar USB signal...

You can even put the NFM channel inside the DATV signal but youll get lots of white noise in the reception and the D quality of the DATV signal goes down rapidly...

So that not wat one should want...

Normal 2 way QSO on DATV is still not so easy as there is a big delay in coding and decoding causing up to 15 sec waitings in microfoon hand overs....

So what would be the reason not to use NFM in the WB section of this nice project other than it needs to be allowed??

@markro92 Great Software, But it seems DVBS1 is not working anymore..

Tested on 3 different locations with different computers and setup's

Tested on 144.600, 436 Mhz and 1255mhz.

Use RTL stick as receiver.

DVBS2 works simple and perfect.

250 KS up to 2Ms..

But switching to DVBS1 i get the constalation perfect but no sync..

not even more than 1.

I use 500KS FEC 2/3 DVBS1 H264... for testing...

Can you confirm that DVBS1 should work?

What would be the max DC input for the UMTS siemens/nokia amplifier.

Currently running on 28V and i know 32 Volt is mentioned but the max ratings of the LDmos are much higher.

I have a 400 watt 35Volt DC supply and i just wonder if the gain and more important the efficiency would benefit from a higher DC input.

Or will i just smoke some parts...
