This day i have done the first test. The equipment i´m using Amsat DL downconverter, Kuhne upconverter,

IC 7900 in Sat mode and pc connectet to the IC 7900 by a USB cable. The up and downlink as well the IC 7900

are gps stabilized. So i get the correct frequencies quit easy. Test with the calibration function found only

about 12 hz deviation. After that i transfer some text and a small picture from shore to my sat station and

it works quit well. The picture was received well but the text has been mixed with HTML signs.

This of course has nothing to do with the satlink wich was working very well. Maby somebody can tell me

how to overcome this problem in the Winlink Express adjustment. Sending text from the satstation to shore

was not working now. Maby it has somethings to do with the HTML signs adjustment. To morrow i will give

    it a try.

    Hi Thomas,

i use also a IC 9700 via QO-100 since about a year. I use different modes of operation like SSB, CW, SSTV,

KGSSTV and more, all is working fine. So i like to try also this mail via QO-100 system. At shortwave i use

Winlink, with a different pc, over longer time and it works good. All this modes i use via a USB connection

between IC 9700 and the PC. I read your solution, is it working good? I dont know what is happend with

my outher solutions if i do this modification? Did you diskus with Jose EA5HVK the possibility to make the

    both channels switchable by configuration?

If you use your system also maritime do you have a antenna system wich follows the satellite automatically?

Longer time ago i had to supply working satellite system to sailing vessels. After a diskussion we installed

Inmarsat Standard C systems at this vessels. Inside the antenna are no movable parts but only a helix.

This works good 360 degrees around the vessel. Also Inmarsat Standard C are member of the GMDSS system.

Die Montage direkt auf der Platine fand ich nicht zielführend. Will ja sehen ob und wann GPS Synchronisation

Hi Michael, thank you for your comment.

from my side i have the following system. I have registert one PC only for the transfer of ADIF files to eQSL as well as to LOTW.

This is the PC i use also for normal email, calculations etc.

At the shortwave station i have a second PC where i mostly use digital modes with wsjt-x. This program produce ADIF files in automatic mode and transport it also automatic to PC no.1. For QO-100 QSOs i have PC no. 3 where i produce ADIF files per hand by XMLog.

After that i send this files manualy also to PC 1. One time per day i send all collected files to eQSL and LOTW. This working fine for me over longer time.

With the shortwave files the confirmations rate is quit high about 90%, but confirmations for the QO-100 QSOs are poor. Until now about 25%. Therefore i try to bring this to a higher level :-).

I had several connections via QO-100 and i confirm all QSOs from the beginning with eQSL as well as LOTW. But the return confirmation is very poor. If i talk with the QSO partners they tell me it is so difficulty to get it working. Before i start with eQSL and LOTW i read this thread from the beginning and learn a lot. I made the decision to start with XMLog and ADIF Master and install both at my PC. Before you start with XMlog you must fill the Stations Info with your datas.

Via options and logfields you must activate the satmode. After that you may produce a ADIF file what will work with eQSL as well as LOTW. In eQSL it will be displayed realy as sat QSO, with the same ADIF file uploaded to LOTW it will be show only as 13 CM QSO.

LOTW has no fields for the satmode. If somebody like to try it i will send a ADIF file as example and with the ADIF Master you are able to insert your datas to the single fields, After that you may send this ADIF files to eQSL and LOTW. Also you may import the ADIF file to XMLog.

Following you may see how the logs are presented:

    e QSL log

    LOTW log

This picture will show my adif example file:

Maby this will help a little bit to see more confirmations about the eQSL and LOTW logs.

    Hello Maurizio,

between the DX Patrol PA and the transceiver TR 9500 it will be neccessary to solve a problem.

If you key the tranceiver it will deliver a + 8 Volt via a output socket at the backside of the equipment.

The PA on the outher hand, if you key it, needs the ptt voltages to ground.

So i made a little circut with a transistor and small relay to overcome this problem. Also with this

circut both equipments are galvanically isolated.

i use the TR 9500 now together with the DX Patrol converter as well the PA. The TR 9500 is a quit old Tranceiver but general i produce a good signal. The DX Patrol PA has 12 W output due the documentation but i see only 10 W at my meter. Have 5 m H155 cable between the Pa and the dish. So this means only 5 W at the 85 CM Antenna. If you like more information we may discus it here, The main problem with this tranceiver there is no CAT interface, realy comfortable working is not possible. The Transmitter produce 10 W output. I use the antenna output and use 6dB damping for the input to the DX Patrol converter this delivers 2 W what is ok there.

i´m interested in a screenshot from your sdr console as well a picture from the feed in your antenna. I have ordered and just received a Triax dish 85 cm. Will try it with this dish, i believe my other dish don´t allow to come rigth into the focuspoint. Maby still my LNB is bad, on the other hand the Bamatech produce a quite good transmit signal.

In the meantime my little powermeter works fine, together with a chinese direction coupler. Little problem with installation of the USB driver. But i found a solution.
