Hallo....
an IMAGE of the actual reception from today 18.dec2018 at around 16:40ut of LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) on 2271.2 +- Doppler.
You can see the QRG change before LRO signal is lost and LRO is now behind the moon... the sigs are back in about 2hours.
MY RX Setup...
60cm PRIME FOCUS DISH... PATCH FEED (used for AO40 in 2001) , HM PREAMP, LIMESDR, ODROID XU4, GQRX 2.11.5, LINUX UBUNTU 18.04 ...

i know...
but antenna and "FEED CONCEPTS" from 2001 can be used also on 2018/2019...
i cant remember that the mainstream physics have changed since 2001...
so the antennas will work now also...

NO NEWS about ???
...anymore....
PLEASE SPOT YOUR HOMEMADE EQUIPMENT ...
.... maybe someone have used in 2001 for AO40...
i will try to "re use" some of the components...
It wil maybe help to find the way to more "young radio amateurs" to this frequency (transponder)
and maybe there is a way or an other way to SPREAD OUT the comming posibilities to the radioamateurs...
MANY THANKS..

This mrf21120 amp module ist very similar to the three finals in my ericsson amp.
A few weeks ago i saw on eBay some guy (chinese?) selling those modules "cutted out" from such an amplifier.
i dont know....buyed this module and an other one in 2001 for a good price from a hamradio friend...used the other part for 13cm (2320) in contest at about 40w with 8W DRIVE (DK2DB AMP) so this design is old ....cheap ...but useable..... GAIN is 8..10dB max. 100W POUT @ CW/SSB but not for DATV OFDM! (look for linearity) so i think max DATV OFDM 15W.

LIKE THE SATELLITE....
NOT READY YET .... but for testing maybe with QRP
I will try old TX modules >15years old
1W driver DL2AM
UMTS PA 2001 max 10dB Gain MRF 21120
and S-Band filter found at hamradio 2018 tuned for 2405MHz IL <0.5dB
CONTROL TRANSMITTER will be ... MAYBE ...
LIMESDR..... ODROID XU4Q .. GNURADIO TEST Transmitter...

Hi DB8TF....
i looks like a shielding problem.... have u used coaxcables with high shielding factor (maybe >100dB) and/or using good connectors?
This is only a QUESTION...

So the enginering beacon @ 10706 MHZ looks today at my 85cm TV dish, OCTAGON LNB OTSLO (tcxo), RTL-SDR(tcxo) 24.2east SDR#
