quick update, I removed the so259 and pl259, soldered coax direct to the pigtail cable...

    Still high swr..

I have no idea on how this antenna design works as I am only new to the sats.

Its the new dx patrol helix

    hi.

I seem to be having a issue with high swr with the new dxpatrol helix, I sent email to manufacturer but still waiting to hear back.

Naturally I am eager to get up on the bird so said I'd post here in case someone spots something I'm doing wrong.

Iv tried different cables and its the same, initially I had it all mounted up on the dish and that's when I noticed I had high swr on tx, so I removed it and used a short cable to the dxpatrol ground station, still high swr.

Next I started to examine the antenna, I noticed that inside the flap was not making contact with the coil, looking at pics from dx patrol manual I saw their one was, so I bent the flap so that it makes contact but still high swr.

Ill attach pics of my one and the dx patrol one where you can see the gap in the flap and coil.

I'm using sma to so-239 pigtail>to coax with pl259s then to a so-239 to sma to sma to n-type.

    Cable used ultraflex 7.

    Anyone any ideas ?

    Thanks

    Thank you for reply.

So u iam using the dx patrol ground station, it does not show the exact tx freq with offset. So can I just log all qso as 2.4ghz ?

    hi everyone.

I have a quick question regarding logging.

I am using the Dx Patrol ground station.

When logging do I log the Rx freq eg 10.489.700 or the TX freq, for which I have no clue as the ground station does not tell it.

    Thanks
