Hi.
I’m using PE1CMO UpDown converter, an excellent peace of art.https://twitter.com/SV8QG/status/1132646550428160001 -
Has anybody used this TCXO for 10 MHZ and 40 MHZ ?

The best SSTV picture from the ISS today
My only competed one.

All went well here with the upgrade from wim7 to win10. The only problem is that all the programs must be instalated from the beginning and that will keep me busy for some time. The positive is that I don’t need a new computer for some time.

So what to do? Building a PA with 3 dB more power? Or buy a larger dish to compensate for the loss of MER? Or just living with these results the way they are. I think I'll do the latter.
I personally prefer the solution with two different antennas if space isn’t a problem it’s more flexible and can be used for other purposes as well.

To be clear, this "new transponder" is on ASTRA at 28,8°E and not from Eshail2.
If your antenna is not optimal pointing to 25,5E or has a wide beam (small dish), it may have some influence..
Nothing has been seen from the new transponder here… I’m the lucky one or the 1.1 dish reject any interference from the astra bird.

I’m using one of these under win7 for monitoring the signal from various satellites with SatFinder software. https://www.fastsatfinder.com/
As said Mike the card isn’t for DVB-S2 standard but I can see many DVB channel as well to listen to satellite radio…

Actually I have 4 confirmations from TR8CA and I’m very proud for all of them…
Also I have boxes of old QSLs but I prefer the online system from ARRL which is reliable and very easy for shorting and statistics, that’s my opinion and I respect every operator that uploads to the system the contacts, After that there is plenty of time for paper QSLs and the rest.

I’m not using a Logging program but if I upload my FT8 and FT4 QSOs direct from WSJT-X program all these QSO uploaded without sat flag. So IF verified they count as simplex QSOs on 13 cm band!!!!

Hi
I’m using a good noise canceling mic, no echoes no background noises…
-
Split mode is one thing, duplex mode is a different thing, if coexist you have the maximum throughput.

There is also an HF unused antenna onboard ISS actually a 10m antenna that never used. A nice add-on for mode A use.

Very interesting work. Thanks Alejandro for searing it with us.

I suppose that TWTA will gain a longer life and the system will waste less power…
