Hi All,
Sorry for the late reply. I had to translate all the messages first :p
The software should work out of the box for any minitiouner that has 2 usb ports. No hardware or firmware changes required. For either of the Tuner you can use either input A (top) or input B (bottom) or both.
If you have built your own dual minitiouner then make sure the ftdi chip on the 2nd port is programmed via ftprog (this allows open tuner to detect it properly).
There is a new version out that fixes a bunch of bugs and improves the audio on ffmpeg :

Hi All,
New Open Tuner is out. Thanks to the help from Brian (G4EWJ) Open Tuner now supports both TS channels. Its been a big rewrite, but it also supports the option to select either VLC or FFMPEG decoding and viewing. The FFMPEG option allows for h266 decoding. On a Minitiouner Pro variant with two usb ports it should work out of the box, but you can also add a 2nd channel to the BATC V2 Minitiouner. Either DIY the addon, or purchase one of the daughterboards in the Batc shop.

Hi Tom,
many thanks for this nice software.
My homemade MiniTiouner V2 is running perfect with the Version 04/01.
More info on qrz.com
Thanks Rolf, I've actually been testing it on one of your boards that I borrowed from Gary (ZS6YI) with the dual setup for using both transport streams, I've got all the basics working, just cleaning it all up for the next release. Btw - are there Gerbers available and Bill of materials for your boards anywhere?

Hi All,
What started as an effort to learn more about the Nim module (On the BATC Minitiouner V2) and how it works sent me down a rabbit hole and I ended up converting a big chunk of Longmynd to windows. This is the end result, its still buggy and missing some features. But its something to play with and all the sourcecode is on github. Get all the info and download on my site: https://www.zr6tg.co.za/open-tuner/
Only tested with the Batc Minitiouner V2... but minimal testing, seriously, this project only came together the last week or two :p
Have a good weekend,

Hi All,
I'm going to be digging into HSmodem code in the next few weeks to make some changes and fix a few issues. I'd be keen to hear what feature requests or bugs there might be so that I can look at it while trying a few things. Or if there are any tutorials needed to help with using it. I think it has lots of potential on the QO-100 narrowband, but just needs some applications, improvements
Some info:
Sending Weather Station Data via External Data Port
Any feedback, info will be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,
I'm doing some work on the Longmynd and Winterhill Clients in the coming two weeks. While I'm at it I can sort out any feature requests still outstanding. Please post your features requests/bugs in this thread:
Thanks for everyone who has given feedback!

Hi Erik,
I'll try that out on my side and see if I can reproduce it.

Hi All,
I've been playing with the High Speed Modem from Amsat-DL as used for the Multimedia Beacon. One of the features is the external data interface and the example in the documentation is to send weather station data via QO-100. I've played with the concept to get it up and running as an experiment. I have documented it all here:
https://www.zr6tg.co.za/2022/1…odem-and-weather-station/
Hopefully its interesting for others to do similar experiments

Hi All,
I've been playing a bit with the high speed modem and the multimedia beacon. I love it! Lots of potential for cool experiments on the satellite. I had the same problem with disconnects and recv errors and I've been hacking at the code to try a few fixes.
I've increased the receive buffer and I have also changed some logic on how it closed the websocket connections (file descriptor) which causes it to crash. Not sure if the fix is the right way, but its been running happily on my side now for a while.
I've got a compiled windows version if others with the same issue would like to try available here.
