Do you guys cut the waveguide on LNB and extend it with copper/brass tube?
Is the length critical..
Is there any difference between inner diameter of extension and the real waveguide of the LNB? Or is this difference critical??
I am pretty new on upper bands..sorry for simple questions..

I have an Octagon LNB for myself but, for new starters, it seems ebay and amazon is out of stock for octagon lnbs..
Is there any other stable (no need for modification) LNBs that you found?
Prefered aliexpress lnbs .. ebay (paypal) is not valid in TA.. so we can not shop via ebay..
Thats nice to hear it is working with tcxo (even with some problems) so, is the transverters output enough for qso, or do you still need a PA for that..
It is written 2W average output for sg-lab but..practice is better than written specs hi hi ..

Did you use any gpsdo for reference frequency? or worked with onboard tcxo?

used satellite director application on android to detect rough location.. then started to listen 10.706 beacon on sdr and moved the antenna on different directions for sensivity..
then tighted the bolts.. tool a few mins in total..
No TX on this side,

RX is with 60 cm offcenter dish. Octagon OSTLO (not modified)
RTL-SDR (green one )
About 10meters coax between LNB and SDR
Carrier is 15 db above noise level.. Easly reading 20-25 db over SNR for most of the stations..
Easly copied all stations that i see on display.. Even a station that has 1W over a wifi antenna..
I also observed some stations kickin AGC on
Maybe not the right place but, how is the performance of SSB on 2.4 ghz band with limesdr?? Is it stable enough?
I can get very stable signals with octagon with no modification. and rtl-sdr
No strange behaviours.. around 20-30 db snr levels with the stations..
Heard a UK station claiming 1W only with wifi antenna..but missed the callsign hi hi..
Very exciting. i should consider asking for special permission from authorities to use 2.4 ghz band in TA. but first. need a transverter 
Same here..With 60cm dish
Pity we don't have TX permit on 2.4 ghz band. I will be just SWL for a long time..
I can receive 11205 beacon as well. with V pol on my 60cm antenna about 8.5 dbm over noise level.
And also I can see a significant transmission peaks around 11206 with periods which are stronger than beacon.. lasts a few seconds
I thought my ant turned with wind when i checked in daytime.. but it seems everybodys suffering with same problem.

Hello all
Trying to receive Eshail2 from KM69 with a 60cm offset disk with Octagon PLL and a rtl-sdr receiver.
So far i managed to get something guess..
The two closer peaks around center marker starts on 00 of every hour lasts a few mins as i observe..
I receive this signal both on V and H (H weaker) and dissapears if i move sat or block lnb with my hand
Everything sounds like eshail 2.. Except I couldnt get anything from 11.205 beacon..
Maybe my rtl doesnt go up to 1455 mhz..Not sure..
Does somebody confirm this is eshail2 beacon??
