Hello Enzo,
Here is how I made it. Cut both Lnb neck and Poty tube and make them fit together.
Make three slots with a hacksaw to Poty tube, secure and seal the seam.

Oh yes , it’s with the mouse right side, thanks.
Wanted to test rx in Lapland. First I had to build a ”tripod” for the dish, laptop in dressing room of the sauna. SdrSharp shows, that cw-beacon 17 db stronger than NF, so works fine.

Yep I have SdrSharp in another old laptop, but it’s too slow.
Now installed it also in this ”new” laptop, works fine.

Hi,
I’m running Hdsdr with Airspy-mini in Win7 Pro.
Everything works ok, but what I want is bigger spectrum window in vertical direction, waterfall can be smaller.
I haven’t found solution for that.

Display MoreIf it is 5 S units worse with the cone (-30 dB!) pie cooking remains the best use. I wonder if your post is written incorrectly?
Such a cone will act as a horn at 10 GHz, it will focus the beam to a better match to a longer F/D - this is what the lens does as well. However, it will also move the 10 GHz focus much further forward and this would require correction but then the 2.4 GHz and 10 GHz focii would be too far apart requiring you to optimise for one band or the other.
Silver plating won't make much difference but it does look nice.
Mike
I don't know what units they are in the left side of the Gqrx spectrum, but with the aluminium cone NB cw beacon rises more up, like from 62 to 57.

I made some tests with the POTY feed. I made a small cone using 0,06mm aluminium foil. The foil is from a alum. plate you’re using when you like to make a pie in the oven. What I notised in Gqrx signal scale ( left side of the spectrum) was, that with that cone both rx and tx was 5 units smaller and overall noise stayed very same. The photos shows silver coated POTY with and without the alum. cone.

Hi,
I’m using Icom Ic-970 for uplink and Gqrx running in Ubuntu. While transmitting I hear my own signal delayed in rx side and that’s confusing me. So, I made a simple rx-mute system as seen in that photo. There is also a small push button in relay line to by pass the relay.

What is that scale in the left side of the spectrum, is it dBm or something else?
73 de ismo
What about other signals not just your own, as Mk2 is in rx- side?

”... only desolder the xtal an put 2,2 µH and 18 pF to the PLL”
So, choke and capacitor are in series connected xtal pad?
ismo
Hello Ismo,
yes it's 2,2 µH Choke or Inductance.

Hi Tom,
Fine, I just ordered componens for Goobay 67270 mod.
Did you removed the that mid lid for xtal removal?

Display MoreHello all,
GOOBAY 67270 works fine when you put him in a shadow, like in a Box that no Wind cool them down or Sun heat him up.
Also easy to modificate, only desolder the xtal an put 2,2 µH and 18 pF to the PLL.
I am using the Triplexer from the Forum here and the Leo Bodnar GPSDO.
use the following Frequencies for the PLL give Output on >>>
26.525640 MHz >>> 144,550 MHz
25.787172 MHZ >>> 432.550 MHZ
23.699998 MHz >>> 1246.550 MHz
There is no Diverence in the Output S/N, messured with ICOM IC-R8600@2,7kHz BW.
Is that 2,2 µH a choke?
73 ismo
Can I upload a sdr rx sound sample and if yes, what format & size?
73 de ismo
In Finland;
2400-2450 MHz
(50 MHz) Amateur radio satellite traffic
Transmitter power in the basic class up to 30 W. Peak modulation power 120 W if the transmit carrier is attenuated by at least 6 dB.
Transmitter power in the general class up to 150 W. Peak modulation power 600 W if the transmission carrier is attenuated by at least 6 dB.
Yellow part is plastic. Lnb tube and Poty tube are end to end, as Lnb tube is 0,2mm too big to fit in Poty tube.
Display MoreHacksaw is one possibility, another approach is what PE1CKK did: http://www.hybridpretender.nl/, middle of page.
Perhaps easier to make weather-proof.
Another hint: you are using the plastic TRIAX LNB mount, but I found that POTY+enclosure+LNB (on longer arm, hence heavier) puts strength on the plastic bracket. Triax also sells an aluminium bracket, if you find that the strain causes things to sag perhaps that's a possibility.
No need to be weather proof, as my dish setup is in balcony under the roof and behind window.
With hacksaw...
Yep, first I thought TX is radio side (input) and FI is Final amp, but nothing out.
Then changed direction, output coming from TX-side to amp.
73 de ismo
Hi,
Which way you would connect this TX - FI?
