HSMODEM don´t work in coexistence with Flexradios DAX audiodrivers. That buck is not removed through new version. I tested it on several machines. No chance to get HSModem to work, if you use a Flexradio transceiver and installed the dax drivers for digital modes. If you uninstall and don´t install dax drivers, it works.

That´s not a solution for me!

So sorry, I can not use HSModem.

I have minimum 10 other audio applications, that have no problems with the coexistence of dax drivers.

If you have the same problem you can not see the spectrum and cloud view.

The problem is known by the autor but I heard no activity to solve it

Hi Oscar,

from a other project I had this piece of teflon. Diameter is 20mm. Inner Diameter is 13cm. I tried with the standard dielectric lense, without and with this piece of teflon. I had 1dB more of rx-gain, so I leave it.

I tested a camping dish with only 30-31cm with my POTY (patch of the year) patch feed. With 4-5Watt my signal is realy only 2dB lower as beacon.

I hear some stations on Oscar 100 using comercial parabolic grid antenna for the uplink. It is linear polarized not circular.

With 2 Watt you are good enough for qso´s but not so loud as the telemetrie beacon.

I am also using this antenna. It has a low wind loading. But is the reflector a compromise or not? The distances of the grid is not very low. I tested with aluminium foil and had success. But to much wind load and solar reflection. I decided to try fly screen. It works as good as with the aluminium foil. I fullfil the surface of the backside of the antenna with this fly screen.

3dB louder signal on the satellite. You can leave an amplifier. Try it, it works!

I do not claim that I am invented the antenna. I have not seen the antenna of BG0AUB before. It´s my way to make a antenna with minimal cost and minimum light weight. I would like to show that it works. Some specialist think the surface is not smooth enough and the parabolic form is not given. how it works on receive on 10GHz I don´t know at the moment

The Umbrella DISH

My idea was to develop an antenna that can also be carried in the baggage. It should be cheap too. After much research, I came across Chinese umbrellas. Advantages: light weight, stretched 80cm diameter, folded about 50cm. Parabol almost ideal for a ca.50cm focal point. With 4 watts and together with POTY patch antenna I am almost as loud as the beacon. Covered are the 22 segments with a foil from a rescue blanket. Glued to the fabric of the screen with textile glue
