I have just set up my receiver again. I am getting an image of the lower NB beacon (10,489.500) on 10,489.722 MHz, so 222 kHz higher. I'm assuming this is generated in my equipment, but I'm posting to check that a weak signal beacon is not broadcast. It is about 2dB over noise.
I'm using 1 1.1m dish feeding an LNB with a 27 MHz reference oscillator, feeding an RTL dongle to GQRX on Ubuntu Linux.
Can anyone hear a signal on 10,489.722 MHz?
A weak signal beacon would be useful!
