Hi,
with a multifeed clamp you can receive, but not transmit.

Hi,
then look at the DC with on oscilloscope when transmitting.

Hi Mike,
You need a highly stable, low-noise oscillator, i.e. a OCXO

Hi Mike,
With a CW-only transmitter you can only save the modulator, the frequency processing is the same for reasons of stability.

I think the cable parameters are very important. I made three measurements with my VNA, only the adaptors, with 10 cm RG 316 an with 30 cm RG 316

Hi Edwin,
I recommend to test the cables with your VNA, through and terminated.

Hello Edwin,
I hope your FT-817 is fixed. Check out the upconverter from PY1SAN on Youtube.

Hi,
here you can see the beam width: https://jcoppens.com/ant/helix/calc.en.php

Yes, that might work! Good luck!

Hi,
for transmitting I use a Yaesu FT-818 on 432 MHz, 1.5 W, a dx patrol upconverter Mk. 2 (attention, unwanted sidebands if fully driven) and a 20 W amplifier from PE1CMO. The upconverter is synchronized with a 10 MHz OCXO (Bliley). My antenna is a 60 cm dish with a homemade 6 turns helix and an unmodified LNB. Length of the antenna cable 7 m Hyperflex 13.
For receiving the unmodified LNB is connected to an unmodified Pluto. I use SDR console and synchronize to the middle beacon.

Hi,
die Verfügung 33/2007 nennt Richtwerte für die erforderliche Dämpfung unerwünschter Aussendungen
gegenüber der maximalen PEP des Senders, keine Grenzwerte!
