The reason many people don't work full duplex is because there is no radio that can work full duplex. For example: 9700 and so on... But WebSDR is a great tool to check your downlink. I always check my signal with WebSDR at the start of the first transmission.

Good Morning,
where do you get the amplifier?73 Ulrich

I have obtained a batch of S_BAND power amplifiers(The number 150), which have been tested to be very suitable for QO100 transponder uplinks
At 30V power supply is gain of 56dB.P1DB 44DBm (2.4G)
24V also works well
And PCB need not change any, only need to provide power supply and PA start signal. The isolator, despite its nominal name of 2.65G, is still available at 2.4g, so there is no need to remove the isolator.
Insertion loss at 2.4g <1DB.Port reverse isolation 17db

LNB REF signal (TCXO inside the LNB & Ref fed by the duplex) has an effect on the output signal.
Recently, I measured and compared the spectrum of the output signal of LNB using different REF modes.
First measure the TCXO installed inside the LNB.The signal looks clean.Low base noise, good signal-to-noise ratio
The measurement then provides a REF signal to the LNB through a diplexer.
The output signal becomes very noisy. The signal-to-noise ratio is significantly lower.Has anyone done the same measurement?
I hope everyone can see what I post with translation software 73 DE BG0AUB

I have made 5-6 POTY, almost all of which are on the high resonant frequency 60-80mhz... Curved edges do not improve much, effective amplification is the insertion of the dielectric sheet

-18db?As long as you receive good enough. No problem.18 db in the waterfall of websdr visible..

My experience is converted to 28 m, rx is no problem, but the tx need additional filter to filter out harmonic and LO leakage.2400.05 + - 28. Considerable extent. He will take up your amplifier bandwidth.Of course if you don't care about these.Completely no problem

I bought a bridge about two years ago, and now he should be somewhere in the workshop, using him with PLUTO and theoretically measuring antenna return loss... Well, there seems to be a need for user calibration procedures

Perhaps the output range will suffice with a 3.3v powered tcxo

Seems this is agood starting point for qso's. Mny tnx Zhaofeng for FT4 QSO. He reportet 100mW , me still with 400mW. Zhao used a 60cm Dish. Mine is 90.
Was so dissapointed destroying my pa and at the end had so much fun.
Tnx guys.

The next day I actually measured the final power reaching the antenna.Only 5-6 DBM...

I posted this a year ago.Now a whole year has passed quickly.During this time I have completed 626 qos through QO100.158 grid Also completed the QO100 QSO in China. Also learned a lot of knowledge. Thanks to the warm-hearted friends who have helped me.
Sincerely hope more people appear on QO100 transponder...

It may be possible to use higher power in conjunction with the uplink signal of the tablet wifi antenna and directly use the LNB (no reflection focusing antenna) for testing...
