Hello William
If you wish, I will promote your Transverter in our Lexicon. Can you tell me the YouTube-link to your presentation at the Mitgliederversammlung?

So I think we should be more open and not argue for the "RULES" sake.
Michael, there are good reasons why rules are made. Without rules our hobby would not function as it is.
BTW: Germany likes RULES - except on their highways-hi
Please no offenses.
Thank you for your understanding.

Update
FossaSat-1B and -2 were not lost, see http://www.southgatearc.org/ne…ost-in-launch-failure.htm
Info came from IARU, that they are on the same flight.

Firefly’s first launch attempt for their Firefly Alpha rocket ended approximately 2.5 minutes after liftoff on Thursday evening when an anomaly resulted in the loss of the vehicle. Among the payloads lost were AMSAT-EA’s GENESIS-L and GENESIS-N amateur radio satellites.
Felix Paez, EA4GQS, from AMSAT-EA said “we are very proud of all the team work and very grateful for this opportunity Firefly has granted to us.” He added, “in January we will launch with SpaceX through Alba Orbital, our FM repeaters Hades and EASAT-2. We will keep you posted.”
Other payloads lost on the mission are listed at [*] https://firefly.com/firefly-ae…eam-payload-participants/
[ANS thanks for Felix Paez, EA4GQS, and Firefly for the above information]

OK, lets end this discussion about dBm and Watt. There are enough software around to calculate forth and back. For me personally its easier to look for an amplifier with specified mW and Watt, I think for someone else too.
OK Andreas, you are right. But to look for suitable pre-amplifiers and amplifiers its easier to calculate with mW and Watt. This is less abstract than with dBm. Or you live in a "dBm world", then its easier for you.
I also don't understand why all the values are in dBm. To clarify it in my mind I have to convert it into Watt. You can do this also online here: https://www.everythingrf.com/rf-calculators/dbm-to-watts
I operate an EDUP EP-AB003 WiFi booster without any modification with an input of about 400 mW from the uplink converter.
1 Watt output power could work as preamplifier for a big amplifier or at an big dish I think.
I will none of this sites promote. Analog Devices is a full commercial company and PE1CMO has no contact address on his site and price list. If you know René Stevens you can order his articles on your own risk.

Detlev, this is just an example. You can mount the LNB below the Helix or at another dish.
