Hi all, new here. Had the ticket 44 years, but just getting round to satellites (don't like to rush these things). I'm using SatPC32 and although I worked through CAS-4a and 4b only last week I see the frequencies don't appear when those satellites are selected. Can anyone tell me why? 73 Alan
SatPC32 and Frequency question

You need to add the information to the DOPPLER.SQF file.
-
OK thanks for that. I have already done it, but wondered if it was right or there was more I should do. Many thanks.

Moved the thread from forum General Information to forum CubeSat and LEO Satellites. -
Hi OM and welcome to satellites..
Check the name of the satellite at the DOPPLER.SQF . It suppose to be as in the TLE/Kepler file !! GL OM.
-
. . . And where do I find the TLE/Kepler file?
-
It is highly recommended to read the manual for SatPC32. It includes answers to all your questions including where to find the necessary data, how to add satellites and so much more.
-
I have read the manual, but didn't find answer.

Great list, I'm now more confused. 1. Why do I need these? 2. What do I do with them? 3. Whats WGET? 4. Whats CURL?
-
I don't know what you need, put the first one in SatPC32. If you need more actual keps or more satellites then look into the text files. WGET and CURL are programs to download files from internet. With CURL I download keps from http://www.space-track.org

My original question was:

I've only just started with satellites and with SatPC32. I'm like a fish out of water will all this stuff. I've been reading manuals, books on satellites, info on the net, and playing with SatPC32 and other software. So, I don't know what I want / need. You say put the first one in SatPC32, where?

-
I have a similar book and am working through it. Thanks for the link though. I think WA4SCA gave me the answer I was looking for regarding my original question. As for the other stuff that's come up in this thread, I'll look at those when I have a better idea of what I'm doing. Thanks all for your time and input.

Erich DK1TB has a nice homepage for his SatPC32, see http://www.dk1tb.de/ and the online manual at http://www.dk1tb.de/manual_e.htm
Sorry, I'm not a SatPC32 user, hope it helps anyway.
