the high SWR warning
What SWR warning?
Really measured SWR with what equpipment?
Try same procedure on a dummy load instead the antenna to find the real reason.

Hello Erik,
dish diameter and number of turns is not all. You have also to consider the f/D from the dish.
If the f/D of different dish systems is the same, the number of turns from the helix did not change.

Da hätte ich auch interesse, gibts noch welche?
Great,
with or without original case cover?
Do you have a picture from the circulator bypass?

I tried Wifi 2,4 and 5 GHz, good and stable link with 300 Mb/s,
but at the End of the day is the Wifi solution not useful.
Basically it works, but the continuity of the data stream is not stable.
There are always delays in the data flow, which neither the SDR Console nor the DATV like ...
Now there is an Ethernet cable and everyone is happy ...

In a WIKI it is better structured probably.
I agree, and that is what matters!
In the forum you have to read everything together, there is a lot in different threads on the same topic.
If someone doesn't read along all the time, that doesn't help.
A wiki in the style of the BATC wiki, appropriately maintained, would be much more helpful for newcomers or experimenters.
In my opinion, the forum here primarily helps to get help and support for special cases.

Had same effects with somtime GPS loss ... , mostly after new start of the converter.
I changed the GPS Antenna, now without problem ...
Maybe a try?

then it makes no sense to reactivate my old AFREG-decoder
?? As far as I know did the AFREG decoder only generate the clock and data stream from the PSK signal what you have finaly to decode with software which uses the FEC algorhythmus.... (IPS running on ATARI 800, later ATARI 1040 and finaly PC)
The main problem is, that, as Peter wrote, some user did not educate them-self by reading trust-able and reliable sources first.
They work by try and error, did not respect the bandplans and regularity, partially they did not know about that, partially they don´t want to do that.
How do we reach this part of users?

Good linear signals are our visiting cards.
Yes, fully agree !
The LNB went up, so the beam went down. You have to adjust the dish as a whole a bit up again..
the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection ....
In diesem Versuchsaufbau 3,0 mm Kupferrohr.
Hello Bill,
the distance from the POTY to the dish reflector is not critical for 2,4 GHz. You have to adjust with the 10 GHz RX signal.
Your mechanical solution looks good, but in vertikal to satellite has changed.
So you have to adjust the elevation from your dish.
take a look here:

Figure 4-9 Loss due to axis feed displacement from focus.
Datv Signal Processing creates a delay Up to 15 Seconds.
once upon a time ... with software that is no longer up to date.
Currently we are working with delay times of 2-3 seconds, DATV QSOs run nearly like in the NB ...
Please have a look ...

Hallo Rolf,
Yes,
to lengthen is the better idea, and you have more place/distance with the POTY reflector disk to the feed arm.
You have also a wider area to slide the POTY in direction to the dish reflector to find the best position for focus.
At least I can send a lense from here via postal to you if its helpful.
1) I'll have to file out a groove on the outside of the plastic mount, the N connector jack and plug will not pass.
Yes, thats often to do.
2) The bottom of the reflector touches the metal arm, is that a problem?
The contact itself is no problem, but, if the distance of the focus is a bit wider from dish you have no chance to adjust.
At some offset system it is necessyry to enlarge the feed arm a few cm to get the focus point on the right position in front of the waveguide from the POTY
So, for excact adjustment you need first the electrical lense, because the focuspoint with lense is 1-2 cm in front of the waveguide.
Any other options for a good lens?
Do you have someone who can print 3-D ?
You can 3-D print a electrical lense.
Or turn a piece of Teflon with a lathe.
