ok..understood..I thought I have overseen this in my search..
-
It is all the same thing, isn't it?
I have a new type of patch underway in the mail, it is made on PCB.
(source is Kent electronics, WA5VJB)
I am going to try with one or two of these alongside the LNB.
-
'New type of patch' (I don't believe that .. can you post an URL or information on that?)
Or you mean 'new' in a sense that they are not second hand?
Or you mean 'new' that it's made on (lossy) PCB?
-
A type that has not yet been shown and discussed here on the forum, rather than a new build of a design that already was discussed here.
It is a test version and it should appear on his website soon.
-
Kent is well known for designing good antennas, so we will see. If it is on PCB power handling may be a challenge about 10W or so.
-
Indeed, but for NB transponder use with a 60-80cm dish that should not be an issue.
We will see, it is an experiment...
-
OK, I started this thread to talk about the dish feed mentioned in the initial posting.
So, PE1CHL, I suggest the following: Stop polluting this thread and create your own about your 'new'/unknown patch and start nagging there.
Deal?

Let's agree to disagree. That seems to be your hobby.

DD0KP I received an email from them where they asked their Chinese manufacturer to produce the sample. Btw these are really polite and customer friendly people. Everything they do, they Cc you in. And when you say: "I'm curious" , they ask if there is an issue (which there isn't). I have to scroll through my emails the dual band patch, of which this thread is all about, generated a tsunami of emails ...
Like I promised, I keep you posted when I receive my sample! -

The patch mentioned in the title of this thread, later named POTY got a good review on Willi HB9PZK's blog where he also presents his interpretation of a dielectric lens for X-band (10 GHz).
