Someone take care about power regulation ?

SM6PGP I use the PE4302 which is simmilar you can get it on Ebay with SMA connectors and software for Arduino is available as well.

I use this module with the cheap I2C LCD Backpack..So controlling is done with I2C..

Now it is implemented and works perfect..

what is the power rating (how many watt ?) of the attenuator ?

(I could not find any data concerning that in the ebay advertising)

Today I just build a small PCB which fits under the attenuator board. You only need 3,3V, GND, SDA and SCL from the adruino board. Thats all. Next to mount both in a small housing.

And here the timing with address 0x20 and 12,5 dB

Both PCBs together..

I already saw the first station that was making 20dB too much power so hopefully the issue will be taken seriously

Hi ! I used 20mW into my 2.3 m dish (estimate 33dBi gain) for CW QSO with good signals. Could not get down to the noise floor have to remove some gain. It is interesting to see how low it is possible to go with the power. In sweden we are limited to 100mW, but with a 2.3 m dish it is not a problem.

Why there was a discussion lately that 10W or 20W PA is a must have ? and now you report that 20mw is enough ? Just 30db difference

He has a 2.3m dish. Of course then you require less power than with a 60cm dish for which the 10 Watt was calculated (which most people immediately doubled due to past experience with pre-published link budgets).

However it appears that there is less power required than estimated, at least when everyone behaves well.

It could become worse when there are many simultaneous QSOs of course.
