The design looks very professional, not on the cheap side though. But a properly machined case has its price.. 30W in 85cm should be enough unless you have a metallized window (like in cars or trains). In any case, if you have this behind the windows I would strongly recommend staying out of the room while transmitting.

otherwise you hear a BING, food is ready

Hallo Achim
If I open/tilt my metalized (Velux) window in elevation angle to QO-100, then I can make SSB-QSO's with the EDUP "8W" booster. My signal is weak but clear. See also my QRZ.COM site with photo. My up-converter has 400mW, 18dB gain results in about 25 Watt (datasheet).
I'm more afraid about too much power (LEILA). What do you think ?

Hello Thomas,
and how is the signal if the window is closed?

Then I have no signal (LOS) When I tune to the PSK-beacon so I can hear it and close slowly the window, then the signal gets quieter until LOS. At a rainy or cold day I can't operate, so I have a "nice-weather-QO-100-station". But that's OK .
To tilt the window in the right angle, I have a stick with the right length to clamp between window and window frame. That's the reason for my weak uplink signal.

If you found you had too much power then you could put an sma attenuator or a length of coax in front of the PA to drop the input power.
-
Outside, a 30W PA with 85cm will certainly trigger LEILA. That said, backing it off will give you a very nice (spectrally clean) signal. If you are using such a setup however from indoors (blasting an unknown amount into the surrounding area), it is a bit tricky to estimate how much EIRP is actually leaving your house.

HB9SKA consinder also fresnel zone. May be a panel or patch antenna can be put more close to the window and improve Tx signal.
Hello George
The window is open/tilted as described above. I also can not move the tripod with the dish nearer to the window, otherwise I can't open the window. Do you mean, the tilted window is in the Fresnel zone ? In any case it disturbs my transmitted signal, but my "construction" works.

A more long term solution could be to have the Velux window re-glazed with a non-metallized glazing unit so you can operate with it closed.

Unfortunately, this is not an option
