Hi all

I'll release a new version tomorrow, with mostly performance and gui improvements / bugfixes and a config file.

To the people requesting support for the SDRPlay:

no it's not supported at the moment, but i can implement experimental support for it in one of the next versions.

Iam using Nooelec Smart and have the RTL driver installed. hen I clieck on open device below is what I see. Any tips. 73 DE VU3TYG, Nitin

Changelog:

~30% performance improvement for FIR Worker Thread
~100% performance improvement for Resample Worker Thread
Fixed Spectrum Inversion not working depending on DVB-S mode.
Frequency and symbolrate can now also be set via textbox (press enter or tab).
Saving last used FEC setting when changing DVB-S Modes
Added worker stats for debugging
Added Version to titlebar
Config file (LimeSDR rx channel / path settings)
LimeSDR Debug output

For the next version i'll probably improve frame sync detection (SOF) for weak signals, and overall demodulator performance. There will also be a decimation setting to improve reception of very low symbolrate transponders. I'll probably order a RSP1A (i should start to think about donations :P), also there could be 8PSK support in the next version as well.

@DD1US: input port selection for the LimeSDR should now be possible.

@vu3tyg: I have a NooElec RTL, it says NooElec.com and NESDR Smart in the casing,

but no problems here with that. Also tried a Terratec stick, very weird.

I'll try to compile a new librtlsdr and provide you with a test version in a bit.

installed again the program of the new version s2_gui_amsat_release by error Buffer utilizo win 7 64bit how can I solve this problem thanks

I think I got it almost working with the LimeSDR. However I get always buffer overrun.

Do I need to run VLC media player when testing dvb-s gui or can I first try to get that right ?

Switching the RX ports seems to work.

When I leave port 0 I can see the narrowband transponder spectrum.

Setting port 1 in the ini file I can see the wideband transponder spectrum.

When I use a Bandwidtch of 2 MHz the buffer overrun does not happen but I guess I need 8 Mhz bandwidth for the wideband transponder.

I have seen once a good constellation diagram for a short moment before the buffer overrun happened again and the gui crashed.

Any ideas are appreciated.

@DD1US: try to disable LDPC decoding temporarily and try to set the correct FEC. otherwise the LDPC decoder eats up too many resources. Can you send me a mail with a screenshot? mail addr. is inside the menubar. Help -> Info, or releasenotes.

I'm also in teh amsat spectrum monitor chat.

@ik1hgi Tony: can you tell me the model of your CPU?

It needs to support atleast the SSE 4.2 instruction set.

I should really add more debug output...

Thanks for the new version, Yes you are right Nesdr smart from Nooelec. Please share how I can donate to help you in this project. Post installing the latest version below is what I see " PLL not locked" but the nesdr device is opened.

I got the neeolec sdr to work, but tuning I dont see any signals, is there a test signal avalable from qb100. 73 Nitin VU3TYG

I think i am receiving something from the Beacon but not a solid solid signal, I switched to horizontal by applying 18V and also turning the LNB 90 degree but no change in the signal. I also notice "No lock" when I click on MODCODES .
