Has anyone had recent contact with Antonio, CT1FFU or with DXPatrol ?
I ordered on 08/19/2021 an helix antenna and an LNB (and paid by PAYPAL) but I have no news
I sent several messages, directly to Antonio and also on the DXPatrol site, but no response
for ON4IQ, who seems to know DXPatrol well, is there an explanation?

what happens to them?
I have already ordered a GPSDO V2 directly from them and recently (in june) the Ground Station without problem
why don't they answer for just one helix antenna and one LNB?

i got reply within 1 minute from Antonio
finally, I was able to contact Antonio by phone
he sent me well and I received the helix antenna and the LNB
all's well That ends well !

a friend, F4EGG, just bought a Ground Station
it received a version 1.3, with the switch S1 which is wired
does anyone know this version?
can be a working frequency switching?

F4EGG confirm : S1 switch between 432.500 and 1296.500
DX-Patrol Ground station is full duplex .
If you have right hardware you can work full duplex.
RX LNB is working when you TX so that is full duplex
Just put spitter on LNB output for 70 cm receiver like SDR dongle and then you have full duplex.
ICOM IC-9700 can´t work full duplex on 70 cm , only one antenna connector for 70 cm.
And again Icom IC-9700 do not support transverter or full duplex on one band
But you can use SDR dongle and panadapter to get full duplex operation on ICOM IC-9700
If you use Pluto SDR transceiver with DX-Patrol ground station, you have full duplex operation !
You need splitter on LNB out , one to the station and one to Pluto RX
And DX patrol is full duplex !

So the Groundstation provides 25,7xxx MHz for the LNB while you transmit? Did dx-patrol rework their product? That would be good news. Did you verify it or do you think it works like this?

the presentation is enticing !
Antonio should make a demo with a full duplex QSO. The menu functions are not so interesting.

Euro 1000, das tut weh! Hoffe AMSA-DL wird bald wieder Komponenten fuer eine Station bereitstellen.
Also Ich will Dir da jetzt keine Illusionen nehmen:
Dazu eine echt nicht gute Performance des Downconverters (rauschpegel bei S9+20db), Signal nicht schön lesbar, beim Upconverter keine gute Möglichkeit der SWR Überwachung (blinkende LEDS...)
Also ich hab meine Amsat Komponenten fein verkauft und mir die neue Groundstation gekauft. Läuft wir für Antonio üblich UFB und dann guck mal was die an Bedienerkomfort hat und überdenke Deine Aussage ob 200€ mehr wirklich elementar sind. Plus, ob die Amsat jemals wieder die Preise erreicht von 2021...mach Deine Mathematik!

also meine Rechnung sieht anders aus:
Downconv 286 Euro
Upconverter 214 Euro
Gehäuse Surplus/Flohmarkt selbst angepasst 20 Euro
Kleinteile 40 Euro
Isolator 30 Euro (damit ist der Sendezug incl. Endstufe auch bei nicht angeschlossener Antenne oder Kurzschluss 100% geschützt)
Damit komme ich also dann auf Kosten von 590 Euro und wenn man gerne bastelt hat man viel Spass beim Aufbau.
Es gibt sehr viele OMs die über QO-100 mit den AMSAT-DL Komponenten qrv sind, incl. DP0GVN in der Antarktis
mit sehr guten Signalen. Ich selbst nutze sich auch in meinem Portabelsetup. Der Downconverter hat in der Tat
recht viel Verstärkung um auch längere Kabelstrecken überbrücken zu können. Wenn das jemnd zu viel ist dann
reicht ein kleines Dämpfungsglied aus 3 Widerständen und Du kannst das entsprechend an Deinen Transceiver
anpassen. Ein passendes kommerzielles Dämpfungsglied kostet gebraucht ca. 15 Euro.
Du hast es aber richtig gemacht, wenn Du mit den Kompoenten nicht klar kommst dann nicht ewig ärgern sondern
etwas fertiges kaufen und sich daran freuen.

Ich bin damit zurecht gekommen. Hat hier ja gut funktioniert. Nur nicht so komfortabel für portabel was das drumherum. War alles in einer größeren Box. Jetzt ist das eine Box die komod auf jeden Familienurlaub mitkann.
Und für Leute die jetzt warten das es hier noch einmal einen Bausatz gibt. Der wird im Zweifelsfall man locker 30% teurer sein durch die aktuellen Entwicklungen. Also passt deine Rechnung nicht. Plus, da bei der Amsat die Komponenten nicht parallel verfügbar waren hab ich mehrfach Porto gezahlt. Was auch nicht so günstig war mal so nebenbei.

Gehäuse 63€ (Mindestbestellwert bei Fischer sind 75€, daher musst du zwei nehmen)
Wenn es nur um den Mindestbestellwert geht, bestellt doch einfach noch eine Hutschienenbefestigung oder einen Befestigungslaschensatz dazu. Das kommt sicher günstiger als ein 2. Gehäuse und kostet wahrscheinlich wenig mehr als 12€.
Nur so als Tip.
