best is to drop them an email and ask them direct if they had did some tests on that...

That conversion has been tested by BATC on my prototype.
It works OK, but 2 comments were made.
1) There are small losses from the PIN diode protecting the output (apx 1pF to gnd)
2) The attenuator I used to reduce the excess gain from an LNB for a NB signal reduces the performance for a wideband DATV signal.
If the diode is removed and the atenuator reduced, then the converter can be used to down convert 739 to 144 for the NB transponder. Or, to upconvert the WB transponder to 1336MHZ.

I got the QO-100 RX Converter and it works nice with SDR Radio on 739 MHz and FT-736R on 2m. So I`m transceiving on 70cm and receiving on 2m and see the signals on SDR Console with RTL Dongle.

Hi Jerry!

On 2m with my FT-736R I can not read the SNR because the transponder noise is not readable at the S-meter of the trx. On 730 MHz it`s 30 dBm on the CW beacon. But its no problem to copy week signals on 2m and you have still the possibility to listen on SDR Radio too.

oe9dgv just connect to sdr-stick to to 2m output..set the right qrg

and do that again...

i also have FT-736 setup here and would prefer that solution..

That was my intention here, so th FT-736R can act out his Sat-performance..
